2003 Buick Lesabre Remote Programming

Learn to program the remote to your 2003 Buick Lesabre without any help from the dealer. This includes the Super model.
The Buick LeSabre was manufactured by the American automaker, General Motors, often known as GM. The LeSabre was sold between 1959 & 2005, being redesigned lots of times in the process. LeSabre’s are usually well equipped with features like power windows, power door locks, keyless entry. Some may have moonroofs or leathing upholsterey. Factory keyless remote ought to have been standard on most newer LeSabre models.

Turn the Lesabre’s key to OFF. Leave it in the ignition. Open the driver’s door. Find the OBD data port on the left side of the dash, beneath the steering wheel. Insert a jumper pin into pins 8 and 4. The doors will lock and unlock. Close the driver’s door. Turn the ignition key to ON. Wait a few seconds, and then push and hold LOCK and UNLOCK on the key fob you are programming. Wait for the doors to unlock and lock. This takes about a minute. The remote is programmed.
💡 Tip: If it doesn't work, try again — timing can be tricky!
