Programming Instructions:Note: This is the same for many GM vehicles.
Sit in the driver’s seat. Insert the key into the ignition but don’t turn it. Push and hold the “Lock” button on the door. Continue to hold it. Turn the key to on, off, and then back to on, rapidly. Release the “Lock” button. The doors will sound. The remote is ready to be programmed. Push and hold “Unlock” and “Lock” on the remote for 20 seconds. The remote is programmed to the vehicle.

this doesnt work by the way
The Remote Guy says
Hi Elizabeth, sorry it isn’t working. Try this slightly different sequence and let me know if it works or not:
Open the driver door window before trying this
Get in the car and shut the door (take the remote into the car with you)
Find the unlock button on the drivers door and hold it and KEEP HOLDING IT
Insert the key into the ignition and remove it TWICE (in / out / in / out) then insert the key and leave it in
Now RELEASE the unlock button on the driver door that you have been holding while you were working with the key
Your car should make THREE BEEPING SOUNDS (this means it is in programming mode)
Now hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote at the same time UNTIL THE CAR BEEPS AGAIN, then release the buttons.
Your remote is now programmed.
If you have additional remotes you can repeat the previous step (holding the lock and unlock buttons) to program them as well.
When you are done, simply remove your key from the ignition and the programming mode will end.
