You can’t program a Volvo S40 keyless entry remote. The module requires a dealer tool for synchronization. If your remote isn’t working, try replacing the battery. If that doesn’t help, contact a Volvo dealer to set up an appointment to have the remote programmed. The instructions previously published on this page were inaccurate, according to several readers.
