Programming Instructions:

Note: This is the same for many Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles.

Grab your working remote. Insert the ignition key and turn it to ON. Push and hold UNLOCK on the working remote for 6 seconds. Push and hold PANIC for one second while continuing to hold UNLOCK. Release both buttons at the same time.

Push any button on the remote to program it. Then push any button on the remote that was already programmed. It has to be reprogrammed. The remote is now programmed to the vehicle. Turn the key to OFF.

I am a little unclear on your instructions for programming a new remote for my dodge ram 1500. When you say grab the programmed remote and turn the truck on. Can I then remove the key fob to press the buttons?
In step 2 it says”push any button on the remote to program it. This means the new remote, and then do the same thing with the original remote, correct?

This must be where a regular key is used to crank the truck and key fob used to unlock vehicles
