2000 Ford Mustang Remote Programming

Programming Instructions: Note: The programming procedure is identical for many Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles, as well as for the Mazda Tribute and Mazda B-Series truck.

Sit in the car’s driver’s seat. Put the key in the ignition. Turn the key from OFF to RUN at least 8 times within a 10 second window. NOTE: You must do this very quickly for it to work. If successful, you’ll hear the doors lock and unlock. This lets you know the system is ready to accept the remote. Push any button on the remote. The door locks will lock and unlock. The remote is programmed.

Thank you so much for having this on your site. I purchased a remote off of EBay a couple of moths ago while my car was in the shop. When I received it the instructions for programming were not with it and there was a note asking me to email the company for them. I did so! Two months later I got my car back and still had not received the instructions from the company. This was very easy and I am so glad you have them posted for the public. Thank you again!

    Sincerely,
    Happy Mustang Owner
