Programming Instructions:
Note: This is the same for many GM vehicles.
Sit in the driver’s seat. Insert the key into the ignition but don’t turn it. Push and hold the “Lock” button on the door. Continue to hold it. Turn the key to on, off, and then back to on, rapidly. Release the “Lock” button. The doors will sound. The remote is ready to be programmed. Push and hold “Unlock” and “Lock” on the remote for 20 seconds. The remote is programmed to the vehicle.

tried all these things nothing worked replaced battery still nothing.then I disconnected the battery waited 2 min reconneted and the remote started working

As the new prime minister of Canada. I have to agree with John’s comment above. Fix these instructions or I will ban all Chevy cobalts from Canada. They are garbage vehicles.

Tried holding the unlock button and cycling ignition did not work, tried on,off,on and on,off on,off did not work are there any other instructions for programing the remote for the 2006 Cobalt (MANUAL TRANSMISSION)?

Registration papers say built 9th mth of 2005 so i guess has no self learn. Grrrr fn cobalt

Why on earth would you even think a keyless remote would work if you don’t have power locks, you’re a special kind of stupid
