Programming Instructions:
Note: This is the same for many GM vehicles.
Sit in the driver’s seat. Insert the key into the ignition but don’t turn it. Push and hold the “Lock” button on the door. Continue to hold it. Turn the key to on, off, and then back to on, rapidly. Release the “Lock” button. The doors will sound. The remote is ready to be programmed. Push and hold “Unlock” and “Lock” on the remote for 20 seconds. The remote is programmed to the vehicle.

Doesn’t work for my 05 Colorado I had to go to my auto repair shop and he still charged me $35 less than 1\2 of the local Chevy dealer. Said it was because of the cost of computer software and he has to pay the mechanic to work. Seemed like a deal to me I don’t work for free either.

I agree. I tried this plus the instructions that came with the new remote which said to hold the unlock button. neither of these methods worked for my chevy Colorado 2005.
